About the program

Students, advocating for students

The Youth Board reads every submission, finds the patterns, and brings real suggestions to the people who run our schools — anonymously, if that's what a student needs.

Who's on the board

14 students, every tier represented

Cabinet

5 members — Los Alamitos High School

Secondary Members

4 members — 2 each from Oak & McAuliffe Middle School

Tertiary Members

5 members — from across the elementary schools

How it works

From tip to resolution

  1. Step 1

    Student submits

Anyone can share an idea or concern in under two minutes — anonymously or not.

  2. Step 2

    Youth Board triages & summarizes

Elected students review, group similar tips, and prep a summary for next steps.

  3. Step 3

    Action & resolution

Every tip leaves with a decision — escalated, in progress, or resolved.

Real follow-through

Every tip gets a decision, not a black hole.
